Time Recording System
The Oakleaf Time Recording System is an easy to use application for recording the effort spent by employees on specified tasks. The Time Recording System implementation utilises a Client/Server architecture running under Microsoft Windows (98, 2000 & XP) with a SQL Server database on a Windows (NT or 2000) Server. The system was originally developed by Oakleaf Consultancy Limited as a means of recording time spent on clients' projects in order to allocate time spent by employees to one of several projects and facilitate accounting and customer billing. The Time Recording System's main features are:-
The Time Recording System allows users to record the time spent against specific tasks and sub-tasks. The Oakleaf Consultancy Ltd implementation employs a three-tier hierarchy of Customer, Schedule and Work Package tasks. Each user signs in to the Time Recording System using a User Name and Password. Each user only has access to their own account. Certain users can be designated as Administrators and are allowed to see and maintain all user accounts. Administrators are allowed to add new Users, Customers, Schedules and Work Packages to the system. Non-administrators are only allowed to enter time spent against specific tasks. Users have the options to look at all their time spent on tasks, or specifically for a particular week, month or quartile. Administrators have extra management options that facilitate the analysis of time spent on specific tasks or time spent by specific users over specified time periods. The Time Recording System is not a Project Planning application but the data it contains can be used for tracking progress in a project plan, such as Microsoft Project. Time Recording can be customised to your own specific requirements. The Time Recording System is available for commercial use - if you are interested in using the system, please contact us and we will discuss your requirements, and possible customisation of the software for your needs. |
