Web Application Development Services

We have great experience in the development of web-based applications. We have recently developed major web-applications, for the German Press Agency (dpa), Membership-Online, and our own internal use. We are also responsible for supporting and enhancing these, and other such applications. These systems have made use of technologies such as J2EE (JBOSS), Apache, Tomcat and JSP whilst accessing Oracle, MySql, SQL Server and MS Access databases.

What technologies and techniques do we use?

Structured development using the MVC (Model-View-Controller or ‘Model 2’) design paradigm.

Jakarta STRUTS and Tiles to ease the separation of logic into the MVC components.

JSP and Servlet delivery using Jakarta Tomcat.

JBOSS for provision of J2EE services, where the web application needs access to a larger-scale back-end processing system.

Apache for HTTP delivery, URL re-writing, and HTTPS security.

HTML, CSS and Javascript for client-side display of pages.
